A suspect has appeared in court charged with shooting a man near a primary school.
William Burns, 55, allegedly attempted to murder Ross Sherlock at Dornoch Place in Bishopbriggs last September 24.
Papers from Glasgow Sheriff Court allege that while acting with another, Burns “with face partially masked, did present a handgun at him and repeatedly discharge said handgun striking him on the body to his injury and to the danger of life.”
Prosecutors claim that it was aggravated by serious and organised crime.
Burns from Paisley, Renfrewshire, appeared in private at court, where he was represented by Terry Gallanagh.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
He will appear again next week for a full committal hearing.
