A WOMAN was cut free from her car after it flipped onto its roof and landed in a ditch.
Firefighters freed the woman in 20 minutes after using hydraulic cutting gear to reach her. She was said to be trapped and suffering from back pain.
The woman was rescued after her car ended up in a ditch in a field near Carland Bridge, Lanark Road, in Lanark, following a two car crash at around 7.20am.
She was taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital.
No one else was injured.
