Rangers have apologised to fans after they were forced to switch the date of a match at Ibrox to avoid a clash with a Celtic game on the same day.
The club's meeting with Morton on the Saturday, March 12 has been moved to a Friday March 11 at 7:45pm.
Rangers said that as Partick Thistle was hosting Celtic at lunchtime on the Saturday a change of date was required "after advice from Police Scotland to the SPFL".
Rangers said: "The club contacted the SPFL (Scottish Professional Football League) and requested that the match remain on the Saturday with a new kick-off time, or be moved to the Sunday however both requests were rejected by Police Scotland after consultation with the SPFL.
"We apologise to any supporters inconvenienced by this change, which is out with the control of the club."
Police Scotland said: "It's SPFL policy not to have Rangers and Celtic play in Glasgow on the same day. Police Scotland supports the decision SPFL has made to reschedule the game."
"Police Scotland have not made an objection, this is an agreement that was already in place. It's up to the SPFL to reschedule games."
Some fans registered their annoyance, some saying it will disrupt their weekend.
