ACTOR David Hayman is to to take part in a Human Rights discussion in Glasgow.

The star will host the Bare Facts event tomorrow night in the West End, joined by musicians an performers.

A panel of speakers will discus issues around the topic of human rights, and the Human Rights Act before Karine Polwart and other musicians play for the audience.

Organisers say the event at Cottiers is supposed to be educational and informative, but without any political spin.

Mr Hayman said: "I am absolutely delighted to be part of this wonderful show for Bare Facts.

"I think we have a rich, diverse and challenging evening for all who wish to join us.

"I hope it proves to be a rewarding experience."

The event at Cottiers will see film director Felipe Bustos Sierra speak alongside Dr Cormac Mac Amhlaigh from Edinburgh University about the Human Rights Act.

Felipe will also show clips from his film Nae Pasaran, which tells the story of Scottish factory workers showing a gesture of solidarity to Chile 40 years ago.

Felipe said: "I’m really looking forward to screen Nae Pasaran to what feels like a home crowd.

"It’ll be the first time the East Kilbride workers and myself get a chance to present the film together, which makes it very special."

Doors will open at 6.30 pm and tickets,costing £7, are available from the Cottiers box office with all profits going to Social Bite and Scottish Action For Refugees.
