POLICE are hunting a culprit who threw a shopping trolley in front of a moving bus.
The incident happened shortly before midnight yesterday on Motherwell's Jerviston Street.
As the bus was travelling along the street, a trolley was lobbed onto the road in front of it, startling the driver.
Although nobody was injured, police have appealed for help in establishing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A spokeswoman said: "Around 11.45pm a bus was travelling along Jerviston Street when someone threw a shopping trolley in front of its path.
"Nobody was injured during the incident and enquiries are continuing to establish the exact circumstances.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101."
