A police statement confirmed the death
A man has died after falling from the Scott Monument in Edinburgh.
It has been reported that emergency services arrived at the scene after receiving a call at around 2pm on Thursday.
Princes Street is currently closed westbound, from Waverley Bridge to the Mound.
