A MAN has been arrested following a hit-and-run that left a father and son seriously injured.
Police have arrested a 60-year-old man in connection with a road collision that left a 31-year-old man and his six-year-old son seriously injured.
As previously told in the Evening Times, the incident happened in Rutherglen on January 31 outside a wedding reception at Glencairn social club.
Ryan McLean and his boy Logan, from Castlemilk, were struck by a private hire vehicle as they left the event.
The pair were taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Mr McLean was later transferred to an intensive care unit at Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride.
The 60-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with alleged road traffic offences.
