SEVEN adults and three children had to flee from a block of flats after a blaze broke out.
Fire crews raced to the scene in Highholm Street in Port Glasgow yesterday around 8.50pm to find the fire in a three-storey building.
A woman, man and child were all rescued by fire fighters and the man was taken to Inverclyde Hospital for treatment.
The woman and child were given oxygen therapy at the scene along with five other adults and two children who were already outside.
Another man was later taken to Inverclyde hospital for treatment.
Fire fighters worked to extinguish the flames in 15 minutes and made sure all residents were accounted for, before leaving the scene around 11.24pm.
Police Scotland, Scottish Gas and Scottish Power were also in attendance.
