A woman has been killed and three young boys were injured in a car crash in the Borders.
The 34-year-old driver died at the scene of the two-vehicle accident on the A698 near Denholm on Thursday.
Three boys aged 12, nine and 18 months were taken to hospital following the accident at around 4.15pm.
The driver of the other car, a 26-year-old man, was also taken for treatment.
None of their injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
Police earlier named a man who died after a two-car collision in Dumfries and Galloway on Wednesday.
James Penny, 55, from Dalbeattie, was killed in a crash on the A75 two miles east of Castle Douglas.
The other driver, a man aged 46, was taken to hospital with leg injuries.
