POLICE have released a CCTV image of a woman they want to quiz after a guide dog was savaged by a pitbull and German shepherd.

The dog was left with horrific wounds after the incident in Glasgow Central Station.

British Transport Police believe the woman in the photograph may have vital information about the attack.

She is described as having long brown hair, wearing glasses and a grey hooded top, with the number 88 on the front.

It is believed she may have later boarded a train to London Euston.

The incident happened in the busy station at around 4.25pm on Friday October 2.

The two dogs have been described as a tan coloured Staffordshire or Pitbull Terrier and a German shepherd.

Constable Colin Campbell, the BTP officer in charge of the inquiry, is appealing to anyone who recognises the woman to contact him.
