A 56-YEAR-OLD man was robbed by three armed men who forced their way into his home.
The victim answered the door of his home in McGregor Path, Glenboig, Coatbridge, shortly after 9pm on Sunday and was confronted by the three, who had scarves covering their faces.
Two were armed with knives.
They forced their way inside and made off with a three figure sum of cash.
They were all white. One was 5 ft 7 ins tall, of slim build, and wearing a dark hooded top. The other was around 6 ft tall and of heavy build. He wore an olive green hooded top. Both had Scottish accents.
There was no description provided for the third man.
Detective Sergeant Peter Lennon, Coatbridge CID, said: “Thankfully the man was not injured, however, it was a very frightening experience for him, especially the fact that the men threatened him with weapons.
“At this time officers are checking CCTV and speaking to neighbours to glean information. It’s a residential area so it’s possible that someone heard or saw something that will assist officers with their enquiries.
“Anyone with information can contact the CID at Coatbridge Police Office via 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.”
