A VICIOUS thug who attacked a young man with a machete is being hunted by police.
The 20-year-old suffered horrific wounds during the late night street bust-up in Glasgow.
He was left in a pool of blood after the frenzied attack in Kendoon Avenue, Drumchapel, shortly before 10.30pm yesterday.
Sources said the wounds were to his head.
Emergency services raced to the residential street after the alarm was raised.
The victim was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and an investigation to trace the suspect was launched.
It is understood the incident took place after a row broke out between two groups.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers were called out to a report of a disturbance in Kendoon Avenue in Glasgow at around 10.25pm on Wednesday February 24.
"A 20-year-old man was injured following the disturbance.
"He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
"Inquiries are ongoing."
Witnesses have been urged to come forward and detectives are carrying out door-to-door inquiries in the local area.
