AN elderly man has been reported by cops over an alleged hit and run in East Renfrewshire.
A 36-year-old man was cycling through Eaglesham on February 15 when a vehicle struck him from behind and threw him from the bike onto a grass verge.
He was taken to Hairmyres Hospital with serious back and leg injuries and was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Police today confirmed a 78-year-old man had been reported to the procurator fiscal.
A spokesman said: "A 78-year-old man is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged road traffic offences."
