Scottish actor Alan Cumming has helped showcase Glasgow in a new travel show which was beamed to millions of Americans.
The Good Wife star features in the show which gives viewers a whistle-stop tour of Scotland.
Independent brewery WEST and the Citizens Theatre all feature in the half-hour programme for NBC’s 1st Look series which was aired on February 13 and is now available globally online.
The programme was shown after one of America's most popular shows Saturday Night Live.
Cumming features alongside George Oliphant, host of NBC’s George to the Rescue, in a whistle-stop tour of Scotland.
Viewers can see Alan recite a monologue on stage at the Citizens Theatre and tour the WEST brewery before taking in an impromptu ceilidh at the brewery’s home in Glasgow Green.
When asked to describe Scotland, Alan Cumming tells viewers: “We’ve got this great sense of holding on to our tradition and things from the past and celebrating them. But also there’s this new energy and it’s about an openness and a sense of fairness and justice, and also fun and having a laugh and letting go.”
VisitScotland hopes the exclusive programme will inspire potential US visitors to make the journey to Scotland to discover the region for themselves.
