DAVID Bowie is to be entered into the Barrowlands Hall Of Fame at a special fundraising concert tonight.
The event at the Barras will see Still Game star Gavin Mitchell accept the Starman's award before it is passed on to the legendary musician's management.
Organised as a fundraiser by the Clutha Trust, five bands will take to the stage with all profits from ticket sales being donated to charity.
Eli Stewart, 18 from Drumchapel, is set to perform a special rendition of Life On Mars at the show, and all profits from ticket sales will be put towards cancer research and care for young people with the disease.
Eli, who has been diagnosed with cancer, wanted to raise money to help fight the disease and Clutha Trust founders offered to help through the concert.
The teenager will perform alongside Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5, The Girobabies, Jamie & Shoony, Have Mercy Las Vegas and The Twistettes before an audience of around 1500 people.
Billy Coyle, of the Clutha Trust, said: "Eli will be performing Life on Mars, and it'll be a great night.
"He writes all his own songs, plays guitar, drums, keyboards, he's got a huge talent.
"We got into a conversation with him and he was talking about how he wanted to try to do something really special to try to beat cancer so we decided to transfer all the money we make from the gig to his cancer fund.
"I think it's something Bowie's people will appreciate."
