This is the moment two terrified women burst into a newsagents to escape reports of a masked man allegedly brandishing “meat cleavers”.
The women were on Rose Street in Garnethill when, they say, a man turned on them and gave chase.
Bilal Yousaf, 35, who owns Billy’s Mini Market, can be seen locking the doors and alerting police as the women cower behind a cash machine in the shop.
Police rushed to the scene just after 8.30am on Friday following reports of a man brandishing weapons.
They say a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged breach of the peace and allegedly being in possession of offensive weapons.
While he was being detained a police officer suffered a minor injury.
No members of the public were injured.
