A one way system for passengers entering and leaving Queen Street low level will be in place during the changes.

The entrance on George Square beside the Millennium Hotel will be closed and passengers will enter via either the west or east entrances to access the two low level platforms numbered 8 and 9.

Those travelling west towards Partick, Anniesland, Milngave and Clydebank should enter via North Hanover Street.

Passengers heading for Edinburgh and for Springburn, Cumbernauld and Falkirk should use Dundas Street.

John McBrinn, senior customer manager with the ScotRail Alliance, added: “Queen Street station is open for business and trains will still be running into the city.

“We will continue to reach as many customers as possible with our key message, plan ahead and allow more time for your journey.

“All the information that people need is available on our website. We will have extra staff in stations to answer questions and help get you to your train and have also put in place a temporary marque and canopy at Queen Street to protect customers from the elements.”
