THE UNCLE and grandad of murdered teenager Paige Doherty saved twins from drowning in a freak canal accident.
Craig Munro and his dad William are understood to have pulled the twin girls from the Forth and Clyde canal last year when their buggy fell in to the water, according to the Daily Record.
The pair were hailed as heroes when they saved the twins near the Whitecrooks business centre in June 2015.
Craig, 28, ran a carwash nearby and jumped into the water when he heard screaming from the twins' gran, who was also in the water trying to save the 10-month-old tots.
William is also reported to have helped lift the buggy to safety.
