The second stage of major engineering works has started at Queen Street station.

Scotrail say enigneers are breaking up the old tracks in the tunnel so they can be replaced with 4000m of new rails.

Glasgow Times:

Platforms at Cowlairs station, north of the tunnel, are being lenghtened and junctions around the station are also being given an upgrade.

Work on the project started on March 20th and isn't due to finish until August when Queen Street is expected to fully reopen.
