All the profits from a Glasgow nightclub will support children in Malawi from now on, after the owner left AXM to charity in his will.

Haydn Pope died from cancer last month aged 49, and it's now emerged he decided to leave the generous donation to the Moni Malawi organisation.

The Scottish based charity has been running for 7 years and has already built a school in one village, supporting one thousand pupils.

“Moni” means “hello” in the Chichewa language which is used by most of the population.

Friends of Haydn say he wanted to leave a legacy for Moni Malawi after visiting their projects in the country and learning that 1 in 5 children die there before they reach the age of 5.

Before his death he raised around £30,000 to help and has left the successful club on Glassford Street to the charity in his will.

100% of the profits will now go to Moni Malawi.
