A giant billboard urging voters to use both of their votes in the Holyrood election to protect Nicola Sturgeon's majority has been unveiled by the SNP, and quickly compared to a Tory poster.
The billboard says voters must not "just hope for a better future" and urges them to vote SNP on both ballot papers.

But Nicola Sturgeon's political opponents have been quick to compare it to a poster used by the Conservatives at the 1979 Westminster election, showing a photo of Margaret Thatcher under the slogan "Don't just hope for a better life. Vote for one."
Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale was quick to make the link on Twitter.

It's likely to cause embarrassment for the SNP leader who's been vocal about her hatred of Thatcher in the past, saying she went into politics because of the impact of the former Prime Minister's policies on Scotland.
