AN 18-year-old man is seriously ill in hospital after he was knocked over in Paisley.
Samuel Cameron was struck at 5am on Saturday in Wellmeadow Street, near Lady Lane.
Police said he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University hospital where staff described him as being in a serious condition.
Sergeant Kenneth Malaney, from the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Divisional Road Policing Unit, appealed for two men with Mr Cameron in Broomlands Street Paisley at 3.15am to come forward.
He said they may be able to help establish his movements before the road crash.
A force spokesman said police would also like to speak to any witnesses or anyone with information.
