THESE are the first images of three men sought in connection with the attempted murder of a man in Rutherglen.

The 63-year-old was left with "life-changing injuries" after being deliberately hit by a car.

Now police are calling for witnesses to the terrifying attack.

Detective Inspector David Scott said: “This was a targeted attack which left the victim with life-changing injuries and it is critical that we find whoever is responsible.

“A dedicated team of officers have been working on this inquiry over the last six months however we still need assistance from members of the public.

The attempted murder happened in Rutherglen on Friday, November 13, 2015.

Around 3.45pm police were called to a report of a man having been deliberately struck by a car behind a business in Kyle Square.

Emergency services raced to the scene and a 63-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for serious leg injuries.

The car the man was struck by was a white Skoda Octavia, which was later recovered burnt out on Croftmont Avenue in the south side of Glasgow.

Detectives have released these three CCTV images of men they would like to trace as they believe they may be able to assist with their investigation.

Mr Scott added: “If you recognise any of the men in the images I would ask you to get in touch with officers because we need to speak to them as part of our enquiries.
