A BUDGET airline is expanding its winter schedule from a city airport.

Ryanair has revealed a new route to Brussels Charleroi from Glasgow Airport starting in winter 2016.

The announcement comes after the airline revealed five other new winter new routes to Alicante, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Malaga and Sofia earlier this year.

It brings the total number of routes Ryanair operate from the city transport hub to 13, including Derry, Dublin, Berlin and London Stansted.

The airline anticipate this will bring an extra 1.2million customers per year, and support 900 jobs at Glasgow airport.
