A man has appeared in court charged with allegedly murdering his partner, whose body was discovered at her East Renfrewshire home.
Police were called to an incident at a house in Beech Avenue, Newton Mearns, at around 11.55pm on Tuesday night.
Mother-of-two Xin Xin Liu, 39, was pronounced dead at the property.
Robert Kerr, 38, was charged with her murder when he appeared in private at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday.

Kerr, of Glasgow, made no plea or declaration during the petition hearing, the Crown Office confirmed.
He was remanded in custody and the case was committed for further examination.

He is expected to return to court on Friday of next week.
