CONCERNS are growing for a man who has has been missing for more than 24 hours.

Reg Shearer, 62, was last seen by a neighbour around 10am on Saturday April 30, leaving his home in Monkland View Crescent in Bargeddie.

Reg also left his dog at home unattended which police said was highly out of character.

They are also concerned as he needs daily medication and does not have it with him.

He is described as around 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build and a frail appearance.

When he was last seen he was wearing jeans, sandy coloured boots, a black duffle coat, dark baseball cap and possibly a mustard coloured jumper.

Sergeant Michael McFaulds from Coatbridge Police Office said: "We are concerned for Reg’s well-being as he does not have his medication with him and enquiries are ongoing to trace him.

"Reg also has a dog and it is very out of character for him not to return home to tend to it.

"I would appeal to anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact officers at Coatbridge Police Office on 101.”
