GLASGOW Philharmonia is back on stage in its home town with a classic collection.

Formed four years ago by student conductor Ross Gunning, the orchestra has gone from strength to strength.

Its summer concert at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on June 3 will include works by Strauss, Bruch and Tchaikovsky.

Ross said: “We have performed at the Conservatoire since our inaugural concert in 2013 and to return in 2016 with an even better programme is very exciting.”

The orchestra will be joined by virtuoso violinist Dannii Meagher. who has been the orchestra’s leader for the past two years.
