Victoria Derbyshire showed off her mothering skills by walking off the set of her live show to take a little boy to the loo.
The presenter was interviewing parents about Sats on her BBC programme when one of the guests, six-year-old Kai, complained of feeling too hot.
Victoria, 47, asked him: “You alright Kai? What’s the matter darling? Do you need the loo?”
She then wasted no time in whisking him off the set of the live show so that she could take him to the toilet, telling the guests: “Just talk amongst yourselves and I’ll be back in one second.”
Victoria’s kindness has gone down a storm online, with many praising the way she handled the situation.
.@vicderbyshire loved your response to the little boy feeling too warm on your show this morning. So kind to put him first! #HighFive
