A passenger plane flying to America has declared a mid-air emergency over Scotland.
The American Airlines flight was on route to Philadelphia from Munich when it declared an emergency above Scotland.
It is understood that the flight has been diverted because of a medical emergency.

The Daily Star has reported that the flight has declared a 7700 general emergency.
The AA717 flight has now been diverted to Manchester Airport.
