COPS have issued new CCTV footage of a missing Cardonald man who vanished eight years ago following an identity mix-up.
David Findlay left his Cardonald home at around 3pm on Monday, May 5, 2008 – and no one has heard from him since.
The Evening Times published a story earlier this week which contained the wrong CCTV images.
David’s heartbroken daughter Linda alerted police, who supplied the images, of the error.
She has since verified footage which showed her dad walking around Morrisons supermarket in Cardonald on the day he disappeared.

Police say the last confirmed sighting of David was around 6pm on Sauchiehall Street at West Nile Street on the day he went missing.
Officers also followed up a number of unconfirmed sightings in Cumbernauld, Coatbridge, Milngavie, Kirkintilloch, Shettleston and Kilsyth but all attempts to locate David have proved unsuccessful.
Chief Inspector Simon Jeacocke said: “The missing person enquiry into the disappearance of David Findlay remains live and despite the passage of time, we would continue to urge anyone with any information which might be able to help our investigation to contact police on 101.
“We have been liaising with David’s family to keep them updated over the years however we would ask anyone to study the images which have been released of him on CCTV, on the day he disappeared from his home in Cardonald, and contact us immediately.”
Linda previously said: “It’s crazy how we have still not heard anything. Every year at this time of year as you can imagine it gets harder.
“I want closure one way or another. I will never give up hope until I get that closure. Every day I think I wonder if this could be the day we find him.”
It is believed her dad, who was 69 when he went missing, went for a walk on the day he disappeared.
The grandfather-of-five was 5ft 4ins, of medium build and he had grey receding hair.
He was last seen wearing gold-rimmed glasses, grey trousers, a brown suede jacket, a grey jumper with white and red stripes, and black shoes.
