FITNESS students from Glasgow Clyde College showcased their skills by organising a sports day for primary youngsters.
Glasgow Clyde College undergraduates took over Quarry Brae Primary School for the day.
They helped promote health and wellbeing to more than 300 keen pupils who couldn’t wait to get stuck into the activities.
The college students decided to get involved after learning that Quarry Brae youngsters had missed out on their annual sports day last year. They raised funds for the event, gaining support from local businesses.
Hampden Taxis gave donations.
And local supermarkets Asda and Sainsburys helped out with Asda giving bottled water to the youngsters and Sainsburys supplying fruit.
Pupils ran relay races, played with parachutes and had a go at different sports in their Parkhead school’s playground.
And youngsters were also given prizes at the end of their busy sports day.
