FIREFIGHTERS have shown they can strut their stuff just as well as Police Scotland - by taking part in the Running Man challenge.

Drawing inspiration from Flashdance, as a firefighter pours water from his hose over another, the crew at Ayr showed of their best moves in the video released today.

One firefighter even pulls off some Russian dancing moves while another shakes his bum.

New Zealand Fire Service nominated the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

And now the Scottish Fire and Rescue service has passed the baton on to the Scottish Ambulance Service, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, and Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service.

Police Scotland officers busted some Scottish moves earlier this week after accepting a global "Running Man" dance challenge from cops in New York City.

The officers can be seen in front of Edinburgh Castle doing the running man - with a bit of country dancing thrown in.

The viral video is their response to a challenge from cops in the NYPD who accepted a challenge from officers in New Zealand.
