POLICE in Lancashire have launched an appeal to find a missing woman who they believe is in Scotland.

Gail Hatton vanished from her home in Poulton-le-Fylde at around 10pm on Monday, May 9.

It is thought the 49-year-old may have travelled to Scotland by train. 

A spokesman for Lancashire police said: "We're appealing for your help to trace Gail Hatton, who's gone missing from her home in Poulton-le-Fylde.

"Gail, who is 49-years-old, was last seen by her family at her home at around 10pm this Monday, May 9.

"She was reported missing to us yesterday and since then our officers have been working to find her, including looking into the possibility that she may have travelled to Scotland by train.

"Gail is 5ft 4in tall and has distinctive dyed red hair.

"Her family are now becoming increasingly worried about her and we'd appeal to Gail to contact us if she sees this, so we can let them know she's OK."
