Verdict: Four stars of sunshine

WITH Glasgow experiencing a heatwave this week, there is no better time than now to slap on the fake tan.

I am fortunate enough to have the type of skin which can tan easily in the sun. I, however, avoid it like the plague. I feel that the risk of skin cancer is too high plus too much sun can age you. This has made me the queen of fake tans.

One of my favourites is the brand He-Shi. I fell in love with their liquid tan. It develops in an hour and the results are amazing. For me it is a great fix if I have to tan last minute.

The brand have expanded their range again with what I can only describe as the fake tan that contours.

Now I think having a bit of colour can make you look and feel slimmer anyway but He-Shi Body Sculpting Gradual Tan which came out last month has an ingredient called Intenslim.

Intenslim contains active slimming ingredients which encourage degradation of fat cells, improves micro-circulation and encourages elastin production to reshape affected areas.

That is a lot of science but as a fake tan, does it work? The answer is of course. I can not recommend this product highly enough. It smells great, it works fast and it really gives me a nice colour.

It has lasted five days and my colour is still good - and really ladies, this is all we ask for in a fake tan.

I think I would need to use it more to see if it has the contour effect. I, however, use a fake tan to give myself a nice colour. And for me, anything else is a bonus.

The tan costs £22.50 for 150ml, and is available now.
