Film 4 have released a teaser trailer for Trainspotting 2 – which they shortened simply to T2 – but sadly it contains no new footage.
It does confirm a January 2017 release date though, meaning we have something to look forward to during those cold winter months.
The Film 4 video also announces the original cast – Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle – are all set to return.

The film will be based on Irvine Welsh’s written sequel to Trainspotting, Porno, and will again be directed by Danny Boyle.
And seeing as it looks like we’re going to have to wait a while longer for a trailer, here’s some footage that surfaced recently showing Bremner reprising his role as Spud.
