A WARD at a Glasgow hospital has been closed to new patients after an outbreak of Norovirus.
One ward at the Langlands Unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus is not accepting new patients as a result of an increased incidence of the virus, which causes sickness and diarrhoea.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said none of the patients are giving any cause for concern.
People suffering from diarrhoea or vomiting are being urged not to visit and friends.
At least one ward was closed at Glasgow Royal Infirmary last week due to a rise in cases of the virus.
A spokeswoman for NHSGGC said: "Wards with patients showing symptoms do not admit new patients as a precautionary measure and the ward is closely monitored with strict infection control measures in place."
