A CAT who went missing EIGHT years ago in the seaside town of Torquay has been found more than 450 miles away in East Kilbride.
Grey feline 'Norma Jean' was found in the town's Carnegie Hill area and taken to the Cats Protection League base in Lanarkshire.
The centre discovered she was chipped and traced her to Torquay, in South Devon, where she had disappeared eight years ago.
By an amazing coincidence Norma Jean's owner is on holiday in Oban in the Scottish Highlands and saw a post by the charity on Facebook appealing for help.
She said: "Hi everyone... I am 'Norma Jean''s human and had lost hope after so many years, thank you for all your help I can't wait for a cuddle and unbelievably I am in Scotland on a holiday!"

It's not known how the cat travelled to Scotland or what happened to her in the intervening years.
The owner was due to be re-united with her missing moggy tonight at the centre.

An update from the centre said: "Delighted that we have located the owner!!! "Will be reunited by the end of the week!!! What a very happy ending!!! "Thanks to everyone who has helped!
