American doughnut manufacturer Krispy Kreme is to open an outlet in Glasgow Central Station.

Excited enthusiasts of the company’s sweet treats have posted pictures online of floor-to-ceiling posters on the window of an empty unity in the transport hub.

The bright green branded notices state: “Krispy Kreme…Coming soon!”

Last year the doughnut makers turned the former Clydebuilt Scottish Maritime Museum at Braehead into an outlet.

Now the company appears to be expanding its reach to travellers using Central Station.
