More than 500 Rangers fans have signed a petition calling on club chairman Dave King to ban Hibernian supporters from Ibrox in wake of violent scenes after Saturday's Scottish Cup final.
More than half a dozen members of the Rangers playing and backroom staff were subject to varying degrees of assault as Hibs fans streamed onto the pitch with abandon after their side claimed this trophy for the first time in 114 years.
Writing on change.org, the petition stated:"In a match against Rangers, after the final whistle Hibernian fans invaded the pitch and assaulted six players and our assistant manager.
"These fans also broke goalposts, taunted Rangers fans and tore up the park.
"I do not believe Hibernian fans deserve to come to Ibrox in the future."
Police Scotland are currently carrying out an investigation into the unsavoury scenes and have already made 11 arrests for minor offences.
