A MAN is to stand trial charged with shooting a shopkeeper.
Peter Blackwood, 26, is accused of trying to kill Naser Hussain at the KOF Convenience Store in Glasgow's Yoker in January this year.
The allegation includes claims Blackwood's face was partially masked as he demanded money and cigarettes before shooting Mr Hussain (23) on the leg with a firearm.
This is said to have to been to Mr Hussain's severe injury, permanent disfigurement and impairment and to the danger of his life.
Blackwood appeared today for a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
His QC John Scullion pled not guilty on his behalf to the attempted murder charge and four firearms allegations.
Judge Lady Scott set a trial due to begin in December.
