A MAN jumped from a first floor window to escape a fire in Wishaw.
The man escaped the blaze while firefighters rescued two other people from the flat in Caledonian Road at around 1.35am today.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the man had jumped prior to their arrival.
The two men and a woman were treated for smoke inhalation.
Three appliances were scrambled and firefighters reached the scene five minutes after receiving the emergency call.
A six-strong team entered the property wearing breathing apparatus and knocked down the flames using two high pressure jets.
They led a man and a woman to safety and confirmed no-one remained inside.
The arrival of the ambulance service saw them passed to the care of paramedics before being taken to Wishaw Hospital.
SFRS personnel remained at the scene until around 4:40am.
