A TOP Italian make-up brand is taking up residence in Glasgow's style mile.

KIKO MILANO will open their second store on Buchanan Street in the city tomorrow.

The flagship store will be the city's second as the make-up brand opened up their first branch in Scotland at the Glasgow Fort last year.

The firm will take over the shop formerly occupied by Planet at 55 Buchanan Street.

Covering 3,494 sq ft over three floors, the glamorous store will showcase the company’s wide range of make up, face and body treatments, sun protection and beauty accessories.

The store has been taken on a 10 year lease at a rental of £310,000 per annum.

Stuart Moncur, Head of National Retail and Occupier Services for Cushman & Wakefield, said: “KIKO are focused on securing stores on the busiest shopping streets in the biggest cities in the UK.

"Buchanan Street which attracts 19 million visitors a year, and is home to some of the world’s leading fashion brands, was an obvious choice for them.

“The close proximity to House of Fraser with its renowned beauty department featuring brands like Bobbi Brown, Mac and Urban Decay was clearly another significant draw for KIKO as well.”

The Milanese brand’s arrival follows just months after Italian fashion label Massimo Dutti launched a store in the city’s most desirable shopping thoroughfare.
