RIVER City star Gary Lamont is quite literally paying tribute to his roots in a new one-man show at Edinburgh's Fringe.
The Castlemilk-born actor's show What a Riddy! is a musical tribute to the star's fellow famous red-heads including Cilla Black, Sonia, Lulu and Bette Midler.
The show, which runs at The Boards, Edinburgh Playhouse from August 9 to 13, also features Gary's own stories as a young ginger lad growing up in Castlemilk before he made it big as sassy hairdresser Robbie Fraser on TV soap River City.

Gary said: "I'm so excited to be bringing my first ever one-man show to a venue as fabulous as The Boards at the Edinburgh Playhouse.
"I'm very proud to be a redhead and I'm going to be spreading a message of ginger power with these wonderful songs and some daft stories along the way."
The show's title - What a Riddy - was inspired by Gary's close friend and co-star Dawn Steele, who plays Dr Annie Jandhu.
He said: "I told a few close friends that I was thinking of doing a one-man show and everyone was really encouraging.
"Except Dawn who immediately said, 'Oh my God, you're going to be up on stage singing? What a Riddy!'
"We laughed so much about it and realised that had to be the title of the show!"
Gary has also done a cover of Eddi Reader's Perfect to help promote the show and the video can be viewed online.
