A DOZY bus driver took the wrong turn and got stuck in a road in Glasgow's West End.
The incident happened in Old Dumbarton Road, Yorkhill at around 11.55pm last night.
It is understood that the West Coast Motors bus driver smashed some bollards on the road as he tried to squeeze out of the tight fire path.
The Evening Times also understands bus was out of service and being driven back to a depot by West Coast Motors.
Police closed the road, which is close to the Grumpy Goat pub, and tried to guide him out.
One eyewitness, who did not want to be named, said: "It was a bit of a mess. He got stuck for the best part of an hour and they had to close the road.
"There was no damage to other cars but some of the bollards on the road were smashed.
"I believe it was the driver's first day on the job."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed that officers attended the incident.
The spokeswoman said: "Police were called to a report of a bus stuck on Old Dumbarton Road at around 11.55pm on Wednesday, May 25.
"Police attended and the incident was dealt with, and complete by 12.30am this morning."
The Evening Times contacted West Coast Motors for comment but have had no response.
