GLASGOW’S budding singers, chefs and artists are being urged to apply for a new mentorship programme.

Rail firm TransPennine Express is looking for the city’s next Paolo Nutini, Gordon Ramsay or artist Hannah Frank and has launched a project to nurture their talents.

Successful applicants to the Where Next Project will be given four months of mentoring with three face-to-face sessions and regular phone calls.

Chef Tony Singh will act as one of the mentors along with radio DJ Shaun Keaveny and artist Julia Bickerstaff.

Sue Whaley, HR director at TransPennine Express: “We want to celebrate the diversity and differences, and ultimately grow the region and help develop the people within it.”
