The General Election result, with the Tories winning a majority, shocked and upset a lot of people. Protests have been staged, articles have been penned and, now, boxing matches have been proposed.

That’s right. Welsh singer Charlotte Church, who wrote a blog post strongly condeming the Tories the day before the election, has challenged columnist and general scourge of the left Katie Hopkins to a boxing match. We can only imagine one winner.

If it does take place, and Hopkins does lose, she’ll only have herself to blame. After all, she’s the one who threw the first digital punch.

It’s difficult to overlook the grammatical error she made in the tweet as well.

But Church held no punches with her reply.

When someone replied suggesting a charity boxing match, Church jumped on the idea, saying she’d do it “for everyone”.

Before extending the invite to Hopkins.

Prior to the election, Church said in a blog: “The people are being ripped off and exploited by multinational companies, by the media, by our own elected officials, and all of this has got to stop.

“Whether Ed Miliband and the Labour Party are the right people to sort it all out is a moot point.

“David Cameron has presided over the most capricious, shambolic government that there has been in my lifetime. They are scandalous, and they cannot be the right people for the job.”

As we all know, the Tories got back in. Church has been out on the streets of Cardiff protesting them.

But the fire is still quite clearly in her belly. What better way to sort that out than with a fight against Katie Hopkins. Move over MayPac, THIS, is the fight of the century.
