A GLASGOW nightclub is advertising a job for someone to look after its resident pet Tamagotchi.
Club Tropicana and Vogue in Renfield Street opened its doors two weeks ago to more than seven hundred punters.

The eighties and nineties retro club is now looking for someone who can care for their inhouse Tamagotchi as well as attempt to do the Rubik's cube in under ten minutes, and bust some 90's moves.
An online advertisement which has gone out to prospective staff reads: "Would you attempt to do a Rubik's cube in under ten minutes, bust some 90s moves and look after our In house Tamagotchi? Club Tropicana & Vogue are recruiting! We have just opened our Glasgow club and are looking for new members to join our existing team - various positions available including bar and PR staff.
*IMPORTANT* to join our family you must be willing to take your turn to look after our resident tamagotchi 'Bon Jovi'. Generally he is well behaved but does like to poop alot :O"

Orlando Bloom also wore his Tamagotchi on his tux jacket.
Back in 1996, Bandai first launched Tamagotchi in Japan, creating a national frenzy. The virtual pet was one of the country’s biggest fads during the decades, but has seen several resurgences since then.
Club Tropicana and Vogue is the latest offering from club entrepreneur Tony Cochrane who has similar clubs in Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

The club has also brought back the 'moonie', a slow dance at the end of the night in a bid to bring back new romance and conquer Tinder and Grindr dating.
