A man has been taken to hospital with facial injuries following a serious assault in Glasgow.
The 53-year-old man was assaulted by a group of two men and two women after leaving McDonalds on Maryhill Road and crossing over to Shakespeare Street in Maryhill.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene at 4am on Monday morning.
The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and treated for facial injuries.
He was transfered to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where staff have described his condition as stable.

Police are appealing for members of the public to come forward.
