ARRIBA! Glasgow was hotter than Mexico and the warmest place in the UK.
The city put the rest of the country in the shade yesterday, with unbroken sunshine from the start and temperatures reaching 23.3C - hotter than 22C in the Mexican hot spot Tijuana.

It means Scotland left off where it started in May – with the warmest temperatures in all of the UK.
Sun seekers made the most of the day, with bikinis and ice creams the order of the day on the shores of Loch Lomond.
And the forecast is for more of the same, at least until Thursday, with temperatures due to reach 21C today in Glasgow, with little cloud, and 19C tomorrow.
A Met Office spokesman said today would be "another dry and bright day with some sunshine, the best of this over Argyll and Ayrshire."
He warned of more cloud over Lanarkshire, particularly in the east.

Forecasters warned Friday was likely to be cooler, with less sun, before Saturday sees some sunshine, and temperatures of 18C, with more sun again on Sunday, and slightly higher temperatures.
Rain is expected to return at the end of next week.
