A MOTHER has made an emotional plea for information about her missing son. after he failed to attend his own 18th birthday.
Robert Thomson has been missing since Friday, June 3.
His heartbroken family say he has never disappeared before and became increasingly worried when he didn’t return home on Wednesday.
The teenager was last seen at a bus stop on Motherwell Road, in his hometown of Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, at around 6pm.
Today, Robert’s mum, Hazel, said he had never disappeared before, and pleaded with him to let the family know he is OK.
Robert is described as being white, 5ft 10’ in height, and ‘very slim’.
When last seen he was wearing a black Lacoste tracksuit, black baseball cap and Nike Air Max 95 trainers.
Police have carried out door-to-door enquiries in the area where Robert was last sighted in a bid to trace the teenager.
His family have also targeted social media with their campaign, but again to no avail.
